We are pleased to inform you that we have a new version of the PokerStars software, to reflect the fact that we are now fully licensed and regulated in the Czech Republic. All players who are resident in the Czech Republic will need to upgrade to the new software, which offers the opportunity to play with the same players in the same games that were enjoyed on the old software.
Upgrading your account is straightforward and if you have any questions you should find the answers below:
The move from our PokerStars.EU platform to the new PokerStars.CZ platform will start on February 16, 2017.
Simply log in to your existing Stars Account then follow the on-screen prompts to upgrade the software and use our quick account creation process to create your new account on the CZ license.
Yes, it is mandatory for all players resident in the Czech Republic. If you are not resident in the Czech Republic and have been asked to create a new account on PokerStars.CZ, please email Support with your current address details.
No. If you are a resident of the Czech Republic and already have a Stars Account, you must log in with your existing details and go through the quick account creation process to create your new PokerStars.CZ account.
The whole process should only take a few minutes. You simply need to log in to your existing Stars Account and then follow the prompts to upgrade to the PokerStars.CZ version of the software.
Your Stars ID and password won’t change
If you still have funds in your Stars Account you’ll need to withdraw them first. Unfortunately, regulation doesn’t allow us to simply transfer the funds to your new PokerStars.CZ Stars Account. To withdraw your remaining balance and other funds (including Tournament Money, StarsCoin and Tournament Tickets, all of which we’ll convert into cash for you – for this reason you may see a balance in your account, even if you previously didn’t have one) go to the ‘Cashier’ in your Stars Account.
Once you have visited the Cashier you are ready to set up your new PokerStars.CZ account. Go to the ‘Account’ section and click on the ‘Move to PokerStars.CZ’ link (if you are using Mobile App you will need to restart the App after processing your withdrawal).
